Breathtaking mountain scenery, rich woodlands, and the quaint charm of Asheville await you on this escape into nature.  Led by Dr. Jaret C. Daniels, you will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and the springtime abundance of nature, including wildflowers, butterflies, birds, and more.  With visits to some of the most scenic areas in all of Appalachia, you will also be treated to a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisine in the town of Asheville, as well as at our cozy mountain lodge, the Sourwood Inn.

In addition to full days of enjoying the outdoors, you’ll also partake in a wonderful tour of the Biltmore Estate and its many gardens and nature trails.  With additional free time, enjoy wine tasting or a vineyard tour to complete the journey.

Join us as we learn about Asheville and the exquisite nature found in the Appalachian mountains from author of the field guide to the Butterflies of the Carolinas, Dr. Jaret Daniels and explore a North Carolina that you’ve never known before!
